The Parkinson's SuperWalk is, for us, a family affair
In September 2013 my sister-in-law Dianne was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Dianne is one of the most determined and inspiring people I know, and she has not let it slow her down.
For the last 11 years she has led the team, Bramble Walkers, and the whole family in the quest to fund research and support for people dealing with Parkinson's. Whether it's a quest for fitness, painting and selling works of art or writing novels and donating the proceeds to Parkinson's Research, Dianne does it all. She even got me involved, first as a volunteer and then as an instructor, with Boxing 4 Health, a fitness program designed specifically for individuals living with and fighting Parkinson's.
Last September the Bramble Walkers became officially part of the Boxing 4 Health Team, and I couldn't be more excited.
Help me ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
