I'm walking in the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk to raise money for Parkinson Canada. My team, the Whipper Snippers, hopes to raise $2,000.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2015. With the support of our family, friends, and medical team, Lynn and I strive to enjoy each day despite the challenges from this disease.
Parkinson's is the fastest growing neurological disorder in the world. More than 100,000 Canadians live with Parkinson's, a number expected to increase substantially in the coming years, with 30 Canadians diagnosed each day. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson's in Canada will more than double.
Parkinson's is a progressive, incurable disease that affects not only individuals but also families, friends and care partners.
I realize there are many worthy causes you may already support. If you are able to contribute to this initiative, you are helping people like me, living with Parkinson's, live a better life today and work toward a world without Parkinson's tomorrow.
Thank you for your support!
