Welcome to Pedaling for Parkinson's: Go the Distance

Ride toward progress by raising funds and awareness for Parkinson Canada. Whether riding indoors on your trainer, a solo route, or with a small group, you can do your part to stay active and support the 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson's.

1) Register

Click 'Register' and follow the steps to create your account. Set your kilometre and fundraising goals to get started.

2) Track

We are proud to announce that we have partnered with the Good Move fundraising and activity-tracking app! Integrate with your preferred fitness tracking app to log your rides, or enter them manually. This experience works in conjunction with your Participant Centre and fundraising page, so you can earn points for each activity and climb our leaderboard! Follow these steps to get set up:

  • Download the Good Move app. Good Move App
  • Use the one-time passcode emailed to you after signing up to join this event.
  • Log your activities leading up to the ride, and on event day, to climb an interactive leaderboard.
  • Fundraise alongside your activity goals to double the impact you are having on Canadians living with Parkinson’s.

3) Fundraise

Share your goals and your reason for riding with your friends, family, and colleagues, and ask them to support you in your journey.

Registering as a virtual cyclist through our Go the Distance ride gives you all the same access to fundraising tools, resources, and rewards as an in-person event, as well as the support of our team. We encourage riders to set meaningful distance and fundraising goals and know that in doing so they are joining riders across the country that are committed to making a positive impact on the research being done, the services being offered, and the people being helped every day.

Some targeted goals include:

  • 30 km in honour of the 30 Canadians diagnosed with Parkinson's every day.
  • 100 km in honour of the (more than) 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson's.
  • 900 km total in one month, in honour of the 30 Canadians diagnosed each day of the month.
