For those seeking adventure and a test of endurance, The Growling Beaver is one of Parkinson Canada's premier events. Set amidst the stunning fall colours of Beaver Valley, this fun and challenging ride is designed to push you both physically and mentally.
The first Pedaling for Parkinson’s ride took place in Parry Sound in 2011, and the first Growling Beaver ride took place in 2015. In that time, over $6 million has been raised to support the Parkinson’s community.
The funds raised are used to support research, provide care, and create resources, news, and events that transform the lives of people touched by Parkinson’s.
More than 110,000 Canadians live with Parkinson’s, a number expected to increase substantially in the coming years. At Parkinson Canada, people with Parkinson’s are at the centre of everything we do. Parkinson Canada funds critical research, provides information and support, increases awareness and advocates for improved healthcare outcomes for people with Parkinson’s across Canada.
