Hello Family & Friends,
This September 9th, 2023, I will once again step up to the challenge of the Parkinson Super Walk, standing alongside thousands of compassionate Canadians in a nationwide effort. We're not just walking for the cause; we're walking in support of over 100,000 fellow Canadians living with the harsh realities of Parkinson's disease.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2005, a life-changing moment that opened my eyes to the strength and resilience of those battling this disease every day. Since 2006, I've been actively fundraising and participating in the Parkinson Super Walk. Each step I take is both a personal journey and a broader stride towards a future without Parkinson's.
Now, more than ever, our cause is critical. More than 30 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's daily - that's more than one every hour. By 2040, the number of Canadians battling Parkinson's disease is projected to double. This significant increase underscores just how crucial our fundraising efforts are. The funds we raise go directly towards research to improve treatments for those currently living with Parkinson's, and with your support, I believe we can contribute to a future free from this disease.
This year's Parkinson Super Walk will take place in the beautiful city of Saskatoon. With your continued support, I am hopeful that our combined efforts can help us realize our mission. Together, we can contribute to a world where future generations will no longer hear the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.
Thank you so much for your time, your support, and your unwavering belief in a future without Parkinson's. Each day in Canada, more than 30 people hear the life-changing diagnosis of Parkinson's. By rallying together and raising funds, we have the power to change this narrative.
Join me on September 9th, 2023, for the Canadian Super Walk in Saskatoon. Your support over the years has meant the world to me, and together, we can continue to make a difference.
Thanks again, and here's to a future without Parkinson's!
Much Love,
Nancy
